Summary & Strategy:

Twitch is a damage-dealing and support character who works best when operating in tandem with another hero. With a variety of misdirection and fake-out plays, Twitch can set up targets to take additional damage by reducing or redirecting her own attacks to new targets. Twitch's plays often allow other teammates to also go on the offensive or accelerate their setup and plays, and she is capable of moderate but consistent damage.

An ideal setup for Twitch is Cheshire Combat and/or Cat and Mouse alongside one or more of her equipment cards. Twitch has several triggers which can key off of feinted attacks where she deals 0 or less damage - but these triggers can also occur from purposefully attacking a target with DR her damage cannot overcome. With clever sequencing, you can maximize Twitch's damage output and help provide your teammates with bonus plays or powers routinely.

Asset: Codename 'Twitch'

First recorded contact with this asset was reported by Containment Corp. division Agent Stone in 1942. Stone was embedded with an OSS (Office of Strategic Services) field team conducting joint operations with agents of the SOE (Special Operations Executive). These operations pertained chiefly to counter-intelligence efforts targeted at members of the Cult of the Black Sun - who were actively pursuing occult means of empowering the Nazi war effort at the time.

Agent Stone reported the joint team pursuing activity of an arm of the Cult in the Boyne Valley of Ireland, ultimately leading to an engagement at Dowth (see File CZ-0708 'Fairy Mound of Darkness' for additional details.) Upon arrival, Stone's team discovered the Black Sun members on location had been 'thoroughly neutralized' by a humanoid entity later established as CZ-0915.

Initial contact by Stone's team with CZ-0915 was characterized by overwhelming hostility and elusiveness, ended once it was clearly identified that the team was unaffiliated with the Black Sun. Following this operation, OSS and SOE agents present at the time reported periodic accompaniment by a 'black cat' verified to be CZ-0915 throughout future field operations against Black Sun and SS interests, typically resulting in the total elimination of those forces.

These sightings ceased following the conclusion of World War II, with only intermittent signs following through to the formation of the Otherworldly Threat Tactical Response (O.T.T.R.) initiative. Shortly after the formation of O.T.T.R. and the appointment of Rook as its operational lead, CZ-0915 resurfaced within the heart of black site 'GALLERY 1' beyond all security measures to confront Rook directly. It is recorded that Rook was successful in establishing a 'fae pact' with CZ-0915, after which administration at the Containment Corp. division approved clearance as an active participatory asset.

Addendum:

It has recently been disclosed that the Containment Corp. division attempted capture and containment of CZ-0915 on approximately thirty-seven (37) occasions between 1944 and 2009 without success. As CZ-0915 was designated an active asset, these efforts were deemed no longer necessary.

Cross-referenced with Containment Corp. file CZ-0915, the following information pertains to this asset:

Description:

Casey Kinnaird, A.K.A. Twitch, is a humanoid entity standing 1.5 meters tall, with a predominately human resemblance. Documented differences include a feline tail and ears, yellow eyes with slit pupils, exceptionally sharp claws and a significant disparity of strength and resilience relative to what their size and stature would suggest in a human of comparable proportions. Subject is capable of accelerated movement faster than human perception and resilient to electronic observation. Due to a documented consistency of appearance over a period of nearly one-hundred years, the subject appears unaffected by aging.

Dossier:

Twitch self-identifies as 'fae' and purports to have a familial sibling relationship with Cantrip, a known asset of the organization 'Society of Sorceries' (see CZ-0948 for additional details.) According to Twitch, she and Cantrip are both fae felines capable of 'magic' - but whereas Cantrip has applied those abilities to sorcerous ends of witchcraft, Twitch has focused her own on their applications with a contemporary arsenal.

Both Twitch and Cantrip are documented as having served as 'familiars' to other beings throughout their existence, most notably the individual known as 'Esper', also a known asset of the Society of Sorceries. Per Twitch and corroborating research by the Containment Corp., this supernatural bond facilitates a substantial empowerment for whomever it is formed with. Twitch has declined establishing such a bond with O.T.T.R. operatives, stating 'I'm not into that anymore.'

As a field operative, Twitch utilizes 'fae trickery' alongside a broad expertise with modern firearms and equipment to engage foes in an elusive, harrying capacity - frequently sowing confusion and disarray among their ranks. These maneuvers provide vulnerable openings for her team-mates to exploit, and due to the nature of her unpredictability, often 'fake out' opposition as genuine attacks are interspersed with feints.

Twitch is able to access an extra-dimensional space in which a deep arsenal is maintained - which she refers to as 'nyammerspace', ostensibly in reference to the 'hammerspace' phenomenon, wherein large objects are stowed in seemingly far too small a space to contain them. While the available weaponry to Twitch is seemingly inexhaustible, during some field operations she has been known to routinely 'borrow' weaponry from her team-mates depending on the occasion.

It is believed that much of Twitch's potency is derived from a combination of memetic and psychoactive influence impressed on others, allowing her to debilitate or enhance the performance of others, seemingly at will. Twitch herself is infamously elusive about explaining the nature or means of her methodology and has consistently declined efforts of research and study, stating 'I'm not into that either.'

Current status:

Twitch operates as a core member of the O.T.T.R. elite response team and serves under the direct command of Rook. She is considered a senior agent in field hierarchy, and has proven to be dependable, if unpredictable at times. When not undertaking field operations, Twitch routinely fills a secondary role as a bodyguard to Rook, a capacity in which she has already thwarted at least one assassination attempt.

Combat performance for Twitch has nevertheless been demonstrated at a high level relative to most O.T.T.R. field operatives, making her a valuable asset for missions where there is a high likelihood of violent escalation. Owing to her previous roles as a 'familiar', Twitch is most able of peak performance when working alongside at least one other team-mate to best utilize her setup and execution.
