Rook is a potent support and 'minion master' hero whose repertoire of assets provides both offensive and utility support for her team. Much of Rook's core revolves around maintaining her assets while providing an ongoing escalation of play speed and tempo for herself and other heroes - at a cost. Leaving her targets exposed too long to danger, along with the continual strain of orchestrating so many maneuvers take their toll on her - but if you can manage your resources effectively, her influence on a match can be considerable.

It's recommended to pursue initial setup accelerators for Rook herself to get up and off the ground, but once her assets are online she can continually provide her teammates bonus plays, powers and draw at a premium. Rook's offensive assets can represent a surprising degree of damage output if properly supported, especially with the presence of damage increases from her teammates - wile cards like Heroic Operation and Rapid Deployment can facilitate combination plays with Rook and others to pull off explosive turns or rapidly recover from widespread setup destruction or disruption.

Summary to follow:

Pursuant to an observed trajectory of escalated activity from hitherto unknown entities, beings, anomalous objects and occurrences, or the prospect of hostile otherworldly forces, data analysis from coordinating top secret agencies established a necessity for a commensurate escalation in response.

This escalation has resulted in the formation of two inter-connected organizations: the Otherworldly Threat Tactical Response, or O.T.T.R., and the capture, monitor and control group titled the Containment Corp. - and after extensive review, it was determined to establish a clandestine coalition. This coalition exists to provide any and all necessary resources and assistance in information control, manpower, and all other pertinent obligations as outlined in the attached manifest following this document.

Under no circumstances must information pertaining to these operations be made known to the populace as a whole, and hereafter these organizations have been granted joint-authorization in pursuing any countermeasure or remedy deemed necessary to eliminate any persons who may threaten such efforts.

Following the conclusion of the second world war, a significant escalation in the frequency of inexplicable phenomena and anomalous objects, as well as entities, occurring globally. In a joint agreement in the aftermath of hostilities, several agencies from each member were to thereafter monitor and attempt to coordinate and contain threats to the population at large.

However, conventional security measures and weaponry at this time proved unreliable, and often insufficient in handling such occurrences. Following the Chernobyl meltdown, in particular, several such incidents resulted in substantial potential harm, up to and including mass casualty events and hazardous memetic influences on the general population.

A breakthrough was made in the discovery of the first-known individuals of profound capability or talent, either through genetic mutations or interactions with unknown incidents - collectively termed 'metahuman.'

Such metahuman individuals provided the potential to combat entities ordinary humans were incapable of confronting effectively. Further documentation on the subsequent classification and cataloguing of these individuals is available in the attached dossier compilation following this document.

Dossier:

Rook is the individual deemed most capable of leading the O.T.T.R. and Containment Corp. initiatives, having demonstrated a prodigal genius intellect and strategic acumen. Additionally, Rook has already proven pivotal to the successful aversion of numerous anomalous incidents and threats, having demonstrated a foresight through precognitive glimpses of events which have not yet come to pass, with an 87.8% accuracy.

Pertaining to these operations, Rook is responsible for having successfully recruited critical assets among humans, metahumans, and entities deemed 'supernatural.' It is through these acquisitions that O.T.T.R. and Containment Corp. have subsequently contained countless hazardous or anomalous articles.

Rook is to operate under heavily secured conditions due to the potential collateral calamity and possible collapse of these operations should she be neutralized.
